Well that's my 10 cents worth, hope to see more comments and thoughts and a lot of new South African and African scenery designed for it. Weekly Digest - What is new in The X-Plane World Interviews - Developer Spotlight Designers News Welcome to Portal Forum. X-plane as far as I can see have quite an assortment of South African airports available to download as freeware and the beauty is that all NMG products are fully compatible a well.Īnother thinG I have noticed is that designing scenery for X-plane seems a lot less complicated than it is for either FSX or P3D. That is a deal breaker as far as I am concerned, as they will design a fantastic product that shuts out most of the major developers who want nothing to do with Steam. The new Dovetail game release coming up looks pretty awesome too, but they have said that they want all third party designers to only be able to sell their addon's through Steam. The default aircraft are pretty damn good too, and the default scenery looks pretty realistic and believable even if not accurate in most places and the default mesh is streets above FSX or P3D. WOW is all I can say, been using it for the past three weeks and I am quite convinced that even though I still have my P3D, X-plane 11 is definitely the way to go.For an out of the box sim to be so good is absolutely mind blowing. download the Narvik tile (+68+017) on (marry it with the nice ENNK scenery by Skylark2992) - have a look inside the included Manual.pdf. Then along came X-plane 11 and I looked at the promo's and it started looking pretty good, so I took the step I never thought I would and purchased it. I eventually settled with P3D and it is an awesome improvement over the old FSX especially as so many addon's actually work with it. Have tried X-plane in the past and it just did not get me that interested. I have been a long time FS9, FSX, FSX Steam and P3D user.
